Leather goods

Hello, my friends. I don't know what it is, maybe it's the change in seasons that's doing it, but I'm very drawn to leather in the home at the moment. I've selected a beautiful, slightly aged buttery-cognac leather hue for a client's tufted ottoman coffee table and it's really hitting the spot for me... which is good because I'm thinking about a small antique French lounge chair (see exhibit 'A' in the 2nd photo down) for myself and how insanely beautiful it would look next to my crisp white slipcovered sofas. But, not sure there's even room for that! Meantime, I thought I'd share with you these great photos, and how adding leather in a room can make it oh-so cozy. Enjoy.

Reflect on this

Yesterday was one of those days.You know this day...a day where you avoid mirrors like the plague. You see one and you're as cautious as Edward in Twilight.  You have to look because, well--you need to fix hair and makeup to be presentable to go out, but, ugh--late nights and too much salt maybe, and it makes ya cringe.  It's always a lot easier when it's the mirror you're gazing into is the thing you want to see, instead of the reflection staring back at you. And also...getting enough sleep and well, dimming the lights couldn't hurt...Yep, I'll make a note of that.
