Mod-Trad

Let's talk about the new tradition. Or, what (I call) mod-trad.

It's totally for me, always has been. I've never been completely modern in interiors, or completely tradtional, although I do adore looking at all styles (as you can see from this blog).

For my own home, or wardrobe for that matter, I love a mix of old and new. When I came across this kitchen photo above, it inspired this post and I thought I'd show you what mod-trad looks like... to me.

Warm woods... mixed metals... the unexpected... shiny with worn...yeah, that's me. And, if it's you, I gotcha covered.

I still love mixing old and new, it never gets tired to me. Whenever I see a room that I love it usually has that quality. There's always something in it that is the opposite, yet meshes so nicely with the surroundings. Here are some rooms I found that are so interesting because of the mix...

Classic and modern!

For me, there's nothing more beautiful than vintage, classic pieces paired with modern. Whether it's in interiors, architecture or fashion. Is it because I love a fresh take as much as the classics? Still, the combo is killer. See for yourself and let me know if you agree...
