Hi friends! It was that time of year again...the NYIGF at the Jacob Javits center and at the Piers in NYC last week. I had a lot of fun hanging out with friends and meeting new ones.

Another wonderful booth I visited was
Diane James Home. If you go to a show house or an upscale store here in the city, or the tri-state for that matter, chances are you'll find their beautiful flowers displayed. Visit their store or check out their
blog (the buzz) to purchase directly from them.
It was a whirlwind of fun for the week. Last year I promised myself I wouldn't book any of my shows during gift fair week because it's too exhausting, and... well, I broke my promise. I had a blast but the next day at the gift show I was dragging. Note to self: next gift show take the week off from performing.

The last day at the gift fair I decided to lighten things up and start my shopping day at Pier 92 with...
the oh-so-much-fun, temporary tattoo kit called Glitter-toos. It retails for about $18.00 and would be the hit of any kid (or, um grown-ups will like it too!) party. Here I'm at their booth getting glitter stars on my wrist (and taking the opp to sit down after a week of walking!). I'm not a tattoo person, but this temporary thing is a perfect fun alternative!

I also had a temporary star ring tattoo put on my finger. The ring was a big hit at the rest of the booths that I went to throughout the day.
This was on the guy who worked at the booth. Um, yeah... I do too. That's why I moved here.
Next up is Gratitude Designs by Tara Dixon. It's a company based on acknowledgment and gratitude. Tara is a painter from Brooklyn who, last year started a series of paintings with the words "thank you" inscribed into the last layer of wet paint. The words "thank you" are etched into the top portion of the canvas. The product line consists of reproductions of the original 12" x 12" canvases, greeting cards and gratitude journals and tee-shirts. These are meant to be a mantra or reminder--well, thank you, Tara!
