Plum perfect!

How are you my friends?? I'm back this week and thought I'd share a color that I'm really lovin' right now. I found the John Robshaw pillows below and that set off a chain reaction with me and my photo search. I can't stop gravitating toward plums and I figured if I post about it the cravings would go away...we'll see how this goes. Hopefully it'll stop me from re-doing my bedroom in these colors because as much as I love it, I just had blue/green jade silk velvet euro shams made and I'm not changing my mind!

Purple passion

Hello my friends! We've been having the January thaw here in NYC and I have to admit, I'm loving it. As soon as the holidays are over, I'm so-over the cold temps. Especially with all the running around like I've been doing, and mostly on foot. I've been busy-busy these past few weeks with a lot of writing and performing and last week started the Javits gift show. I hit it once over the weekend, and I'm trying to go another day because I haven't finished looking for everything on my list! I noticed a big trend toward all shades of purples at the show and I can't get enough! I'm on the hunt for a silk duvet in lavender for a friend/client and I'll keep you posted when I find it...and I'm sure I will, at the gift show. The Royal Family

How was your weekend, my friends? The royal wedding was all over the television and it seemed like everyone had royal wedding fever. I wasn't really feelin' it, but like most, I was extremely curious about the outfits (I thought Kate's gown was perfection and her sister looked incredible too)...so I set my dvr. I have some friends who got up at 4am to catch the nuptuals... you couldn't get me to wake up at 4am for my own wedding, so there ya go. Watching the highlights with remote in hand is more my speed....for example: Bride and groom driving in the car: fast forward. Commentators chatting: faster-fast forward. Bride getting out of the car...pause...slow-motion. The close up of hats: Pause...slow mo...(oooh! ahhh! wait, what??) rewind...slow mo (hmmm)...rewind...pause (giggle). Rewind. Rewind...You get the idea. In honor of the happy occasion, I thought I'd treat you to the color that symbolizes royalty...purple. In all shades of its royal family.

Every so often I admire an upholstery fabric and think that it would make a really great shirt or dress! Or, I'll be zipping up my jeans and notice the texture and softness and think it would make such a comfy cozy fabric for a chaise or sofa. Whether fashion takes their cue from interiors or vice-versa...wherever the inspiration is coming from I say; keep it coming!
