Collectables

 Via:Threadless
I'm not really much of a collector but I do enjoy looking at collections. Especially if they're grouped together in an interesting way. Here are some typical and not-so-typical collections and they're all great to look at!

The Collector

The collector. Something I am not. Sure I save photos and music and have a drawer full of old cell phones, but I don't think that qualifies me as a collector. I don't have the room. Wait, I do have a few colored glass bottles, and tons of throw pillows...what'dya think?  Let's leave it to the experts:

col·lec·tor/kəˈlektər/Noun

1. A person or thing that collects something, in particular.
2. A person who collects things of a specified type, professionally or as a hobby: "bookcollectors".

OK. Maybe I am. I sure enjoy looking at other people's collections. Like this  beautiful plate collection. I actually have quite a few different plates that I got from various flea markets and incomplete sets from various store sales. Setting a table with them looks pretty amazing. Alrighty then. I'm a collector.

I'm not sure what collection of literature those slips of paper hold but I'm imagining how amazing it would be if they were a series of poems, or pages from a favorite book or even recipes. I think this one is my favorite.

Kasey Buick's collection of photos displayed rather nicely on this wall.

This one is from a client's house. She collects these beautiful anchovy paste jars and displays them on a tray in a black and white guest bathroom.  It really gives the room a special touch. Love it.
