Hey Stud!...you hit the nail on the head

I go to see a lot of friend's bands and last week we saw the band "Cinderella" at Irving Plaza. I'm not just saying this because our friend is in the band, but they were fantastic.
Sure, they were always great, but last week they were so amazing and so on top of their game that...
…well, I became an instant fan--again!  Anyway, it got me thinking about that era and what people were wearing, and how popular studded clothing was in the 80s. Speaking of which, I wish I had photos of my talented friend, Lenora Corbett's creations.  She used to sew elaborate designs with studs and swarovski crystals on the back of leather and denim jackets. They were truly one-of-a-kind works of art! (Stay tuned for Lenora's more recent works of art:)

And even though that look in fashion hasn't made a full comeback (other than on handbags)...
It has however, transitioned into a great look for the home. Who knows if those 'metal and hair' bands were the reason, but ...

…they're a definite hit in the home! So, you really never know when or where inspiration will hit. If you're creative you can even tack on a few yourself like the homeowners did in a few of those photos...

All you need are a few good studs.  And, speaking of studs-- here's my friend and 'keyboardist-extraordinaire' Gary Corbett playing with Cinderella in NYC 2011
