The other Jersey shore...

A couple of weekends ago, we drove to one of my fav places, Asbury Park, NJ. My husband was performing at the Supper Club and we stayed the weekend at the chic Bungalow Hotel in nearby Long Branch at Pier Village in room 403. Long Branch is where we met, just after high school. Back then, there wasn't much there let alone this chic hotel. But it was definitely a hip and unique, magical place for musicians...thankfully it still is.
The boutique hotel was decorated by Sixx Design, owned by husband and wife team Bob and Cortney Novogratz who did a great job designing the interiors.
They combined the artwork of a number of very talented artists to create this oh-so beach-chic, eclectic design. You can see the detail in the book selections and individual artwork in the 24 guest rooms—or in the rooster-feather chandeliers lighting the entry hall.
Here is a pearl-button portrait of Queen Elizabeth that graces the lobby. This is definitely a space worth visiting to have a drink or lunch with friends or family. The white on white cool vibe has become a new luxury playground for locals and celebrities alike.
We had a cozy fireplace in our room.
Here's a shot of the entire Pier Village in Long Branch, a far cry from back in the day...
